A report yesterday said Phillips had allegedly found explicit text messages on the mobile phone of her husband, Mario Milostic, who has battled bowel cancer.
''My husband is back in hospital and it is a really hard time,'' she told The Sun-Herald yesterday.
''I don't have anything to say.''
In an interview last year with The Sydney Morning Herald, Phillips spoke of her husband's recovery from surgery and chemotherapy. ''We're hopeful that that's all behind us. Mario has been through enough …''
The couple had a whirlwind romance after meeting at a cafe. Milostic, a graphic designer, proposed six weeks later.
''I'd just never had any luck, never had boyfriends who wanted to marry and have kids with me,'' she told the Herald.
''I was 38 and thinking it's all over. We met, had a fantastic romantic time and I had no expectations whatsoever.
''I was just expecting him to turn around one day and say, 'I'm not the marrying kind'.''
Phillips published a book last year, A Pressure Cooker Saved My Life, in which she spoke of the challenges of balancing work with marriage and parenthood.
The couple, who live in Roseville, have two young children.
The ABC said it was a private matter and declined to comment.
