Recent spy shots of the updated Kia Sportage show the SUV wearing camouflage, but behind the coverings we can see new-look front and rear light designs.

However, unlike the larger Sorento – which retained a similar tail light design to the pre-update model – the new Sportage appears to change its rear end with new lights and a revised lower bumper with its reflectors placed horizontally.
It's worth noting as the vehicle pictured is the European-delivered short-wheelbase Sportage, not the longer-wheelbase version we get in Australia which is slightly different rearwards of the B-pillar.
The Sportage will reportedly gain a three-screen layout, with the existing digital instrument cluster and infotainment screens to be joined by an additional display – though for what remains to be seen.

It's not yet known whether there will be any changes to the Sportage's drivetrain offerings, with the current Australian lineup consisting of petrol, turbo-diesel, turbo-petrol and petrol-hybrid power. A plug-in hybrid is also offered overseas.
The Sportage remains the best-selling Kia in Australia, with 10,474 examples sold throughout the first half of the year.
It's also the fourth-most popular vehicle in its segment, behind the Toyota RAV4, Mitsubishi Outlander and Mazda CX-5.
