Musician Kevin Jonas has revealed he has had to undergo surgery to remove a skin cancer after discovering a mole on his forehead.

The Jonas brother encouraged his 4.9 million Instagram followers "to get your moles checked".
"So today I am getting a basal-cell carcinoma removed from my head," he said.
"Moving the camera to show a mole at the top of his forehead he continued: "Yes, that is an actual little skin cancer guy that has started to grow. And now I have to get surgery to remove it, so here we go."
The thirty-six-year-old father of two revealed his bandage following the procedure but covered the wound with a surprised face emoji.

"Alright, I'm all done," he said while in the car. "Now it's time to heal. Heading home. Make sure to get those moles checked people."
Jonas is the lead guitarist for the Jonas brothers alongside his younger brothers Joe and Nick.
The band postponed the European leg of their tour in April.
Fans praised him for raising awareness about skin cancer.
One doctor wrote, "Thanks for using your platform to raise awareness! Hope you have a speedy recovery!"
The American cancer society thanked him for sharing his story: "Glad you got it checked in time, that's why it's very important to @getscreened early."
Singer Leslie Mosier commented that the video alone "will likely help so many".
