'Are you not entertained, Albo?' Russell Crowe enters arena for PM's buck's party

He's up against radio star Kyle Sandilands and Today co-host Karl Stefanovic who offered the prime minister "the buck's party of [his] life".

Mr Sandilands made a bid for the gig when the prime minister appeared on the Kyle and Jackie O show on May 15.

"Let me tell ya, I've spoken to Karl Stefanovic and him and I are gonna put on your buck's party," Mr Sandilands said.

"So get yourself prepared."

Unfortunately for the radio show host, Mr Albanese had already received a star-studded offer to organise the celebration.

"Well, Russell Crowe has volunteered his services as well," Mr Albanese said.

Undeterred, Mr Sandilands said he would "call Rusty".

"What a dangerous troika that is," Mr Albanese said.

Mr Albanese announced his engagement to partner Jodie Haydon on social media in February this year.

The marriage will make him the first prime minister to get married while in office after becoming the first divorcee to be elected to the job.

It appears the couple is still in the process of planning the event.

"The difficulty with my job of course is that we don't get little sabbaticals which radio announcers get from time to time," Mr Albanese said.

"But we will get round to planning the big day."

Mr Albanese acknowledged his role as prime minister would make finalising the guest list complicated.

"I've met a few people in this job, so it will be a challenge," he said.

Mr Albanese attended Kyle Sandilands' wedding in April 2023.
