The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) will bestow the 2024 Trailblazer Award on the homegrown talent for her "significant impact on the global screen industry".
Robbie said she was "truly honoured" to receive the award, especially with the ceremony held in her home town of the Gold Coast.
"Australia has always been my grounding force and to receive this recognition here is incredibly special," she said.
Alongside her critically acclaimed acting career, Robbie's work in production through her company LuckyChap has brought female-driven stories to the fore including I, Tonya, Birds of Prey and Promising Young Women.
Robbie's recent success as star and producer of Barbie, 2023's highest-grossing film, has included winning the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award at the Golden Globes, and a best picture nomination at the upcoming Oscars.
She follows in the footsteps of Chris Hemsworth, Rose Byrne, Simon Baker and Isla Fisher in taking out the Trailblazer Award.
The 2024 AACTA awards will be held at HOTA on the Gold Coast on February 10 and will be broadcast on Channel Ten at 7pm AEDT.
Comedian and actress Rebel Wilson has been announced as this year's host and Aussie film stars such as Cate Blanchett (The New Boy), Sarah Snook (Run Rabbit Run) and Hugo Weaving (The Rooster) are among the 2024 nominees.
