Chicago woman Dorothy Hoffner hopes to be certified as the world's oldest skydiver following a successful tandem jump from 13,500ft.
Not a novice to the sport, Ms Hoffner first skydived aged 100 and approached her world record attempt four years on with the calm demeanour of a pro.
Having left her walker on the ground Ms Hoffner shuffled off the plane, tethered to an instructor, and tumbled once before soaring smoothly back to earth.
Her soft landing was met with loud cheers from supporters watching on, according to the Chicago Tribune's report.
"It was wonderful up there," she said.
"The whole thing was delightful, wonderful, couldn't have been better."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The Guinness World Record for the oldest skydiver is held by 103-year-old Swedish woman Linnea Ingegard Larsson, set in 2022.
The record has previously been held by South Australian woman Irene O'Shea who was 102 years old when she dived in December 2018.
Skydive Chicago is now hoping to get Ms Hoffner's jump certified as the new world record.
Next on the 104-year-old's bucket list is a first she would love to tick off: a ride in a hot air balloon.
