The affected Original chips have been available for sale at Woolworths, Coles and other independent and convenience stores in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
The Original six pack and 19g packets included in the 20-pack Fun Mix with a best before date of September 10, 2023 are being recalled.
The Smith's Snackfood Company is also recalling the Cheese and Onion 45g and 170g packs with a best before date of September 17, 2023, marked with DA and time stamped between 20:28 and 22:28.

These varieties were available for sale at Woolworths, Coles and independent and convenience stores in NSW and Queensland.
"The recall is due to the potential presence of foreign matter (plastic pieces)," the notice said.
"Food products containing plastic pieces may cause illness/injury if consumed."
Consumers are warned not to eat the product and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
