The multi-day music festival has celebrated New Year's Eve in Marion Bay in Tasmania, Lorne in Victoria, Byron Bay in NSW and Fremantle in WA.
"...the Falls team are today switching on their [out of office emails] and taking this New Years' season off to rest, recover and recalibrate," the festival announced.
In recent years the festival has dealt with COVID-19 cancellations and in 2019 the Victorian event was abandoned at the last minute due to extreme heat and bushfire risk.
The Tasmanian event was scrapped after 17 years in 2021 due to financial issues.
International and home-grown stars have featured at the festival over the years including Silverchair, Black Eyed Peas and Kings of Leon.
