NBC News reported employees in the US had been told the company was closing "due to its inability to secure additional financing".
"While this is unfortunate news for our colleagues in the USA, Jenny Craig operations here in Australia and New Zealand do act independently," a statement from the Australia and New Zealand branch said.
"Here in Australia and New Zealand we currently continue to operate and support our clients.
"As always, our priority is to continue providing the best possible service. We thank you for your continued patience and support during this time."

Jenny Craig is a weight-loss program focused on a "holistic approach".
Australian singer Jason Owen, who was a contestant on X Factor, has been an ambassador for Jenny Craig since 2022 and has reacted to the "sad news coming out of the US".

Jenny Craig and her husband Sid Craig founded the company in Melbourne, Victoria, in 1983.
According to the company's LinkedIn, it has more than 500 locations across Australia, New Zealand and North America.
