The high-end fashion label has chosen not to renew a branding agreement with the five-star hotel. The deal will expire mid-2023.
This luxury stay has previously attracted Snoop Dog and Beyonce during Australian travels.
Operating since 2000, it is one of two Versace-branded hotels globally. The second is located in Dubai.
"After lengthy discussions, Versace has made the strategic decision to pull out of the Australian hospitality market," the hotel's owners said in a statement on April 18.
The iconic hotel, which is available to holiday-makers and private condo owners, will undergo a remodel. Thousands of fixtures and tiles will be removed.

The internet is divided on the news, with one Facebook comment branding the current hotel lobby as "shabby".
Another said the hotel was "falling apart". Other commenters reflected on their great stays at the hotel. Many have been return customers.
It is unknown who will take over the hotel, though talks with Hilton Worldwide are reportedly under way.
A $114million sale of the hotel to Shakespeare Property Group was stalled last year.
