And now the rumours are swirling, including the possibility that King Charles II could strip the couple of their titles with some perceiving it as his first real test as Monarch.
The question is though, how is the British public reacting?
In video vox pops from the streets of England, many were unimpressed and appeared fatigued.
One woman described feeling so excited for them when they got married and now feels "embarrassed".
"I just wish those two brothers would be friends again, I mean it's all about family isn't it?" she said.
Another member of the public was a bit more sympathetic to their situation, saying he felt "quite sorry for them" but also quipped they were "desperate for publicity".

In another very British reaction, one man found it simply odd they were "having their conversations in public" and questioned why they didn't manage it in private.
"I would have hopped that they could've sorted all this out behind closed doors," he said.
One woman put it rather bluntly on how she felt about the couple's documentary.
"For somebody who doesn't want to be in media, they're causing a lot of media attention," she said.
On social media, there have been a range of reactions including sympathy for Harry.
Meanwhile, others are certainly not happy with the documentary.
