The hugely popular chain launched its latest Australian store at Westfield Hurstville on Thursday.
After an official ribbon-cut and Japanese drumming showcase, the shop opened to the public on September 19, with staff handing out free doughnuts to its first 200 or so eager-to-browse-or-shop customers ready to buy, bags in hand.
The brand is best known for its simple, practical, comfortable and modern garments, from thermals to knits, singlets to shirts, jeans to coats, catering for men and women at an affordable price range.
Modern and elegant apparel is inspired by Japenese values of simplicity, quality and longevity.
It is part of the world's third largest manufacturer and retailer of private-label apparel, Fast Retailing.
Uniqlo is its pillar brand that generates about 1.76 trillion in sales.
The global company label is an international hit, with stores across Asia, Europe and the US.
The Hurstville store is currently stocking its spring/summer 2019 range at the new 779-square-metre store, which is situated on level 2.
The store is the label's seventh outlet in NSW and 21st in Australia.
Uniqlo opened at Westfield Miranda in 2015.
