Georges River Council Mayor Kevin Greene said the new park was designed after collaboration with the community.
"There's been a lot of anticipation among the community around its opening," Councillor Greene said.
"Community feedback and ideas were collected at a special community 'Play Day' held at the park where preliminary concept designs were displayed.
"Ideas were then collated and used by the designers to prepare the final design in association with the council.
"The park incorporates landscaping and nature-based play elements which have been carefully designed to be sensitive to the park's beautiful bushland setting.
"We're very proud of this project, which delivers a first-class recreational asset which includes new park furniture and recreation infrastructure, catering for all ages and abilities.
"By using the NSW Government's 'Everyone Can Play' inclusive play space guidelines, we've achieved something really special, as over 80 per cent of the playground and its play elements are accessible for children of all abilities.
"The park includes separate play zones with a toddler play area, flying fox, active play zone and teen breakout area.
"Constructed primarily of natural materials, the park also includes new picnic and barbecue facilities.
"The new park makes it possible for families to enjoy a great day out in a wonderful location, where kids can have an absolute field-day making use of all the different equipment," Cr Greene said.
Official proceedings for the park's opening will begin at 9.30am, and there will be a sausage sizzle on the day, raising money for the Lions Club.
The Oatley Adventure Inclusive Playspace project was jointly funded by the NSW Government's Open Space and Parklands Program and Georges River Council via Section 94 Development Contributions (Open Space) funding.
The Everyone Can Play Program is a commitment by the NSW Government to support councils to create new and upgrade existing playspaces across the state to ensure people of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds can play.
