The hospital opened its multi-million dollar re-development this month.
There are now 35 new beds in the 280 bed facility, a new coronary care unit, a new oncology ward, three modern theatres, a multi-storey car park and a new cafe.
A highlight of the $38 million face lift is the updated technology in the new day surgery, which provides surgeons with three dimensional imaging.
St George Private Hospital is Australia’s highest volume bariatric hospital and the nation’s first internationally recognised centre for metabolic and bariatric excellence.
