This month the school will host 30 principals and school leadership teams from Sydney.
It follows the success of Department of Education Innovation Tours in 2015, when school leaders were invited to learn from each other by opening their schools to share innovation in action.
Bexley Public School's Instructional Leader Model has achieved significant gains in academic achievement for its pupils, particularly in literacy and numeracy for Kindergarten to year 2.
There has been an increase in the number of Kindergarten pupils who are now on track with their reading – from 16 per cent in 2014 to 84 per cent last year.
Similar gains were achieved in comprehension and writing.
School principal Steven Mead said this gain reflected teacher commitment, evidence-based teaching methods and the use of data to target learning experiences.
"Our staff have developed a deep understanding of child development in literacy and numeracy leading to increased levels of achievement and higher levels of motivation and passion for learning,” he said.
