Afternoon tea at Beverly Hills was a much more relaxed affair for Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull than the COAG meeting with state and territory leaders later in the week promised to be.

About 130 representatives of community groups in the area were invited.
Mr Coleman said the Prime Minister spoke about the government’s economic plan, the innovation and science agenda and legislation that changes the way the Senate is elected.
Mr Coleman was chair of the parliamentary committee, which recommended the Senate voting changes, passed by Parliament, that will make it harder for micro parties to be elected.
“These reforms are designed to ensure the results of future Senate elections reflect the will of the people”, Mr Coleman said.
Mr Coleman said the Beverly Hills function gave him the chance to to speak to Mr Turnbull about local needs including opening ramps to the M5 motorway at Riverwood for east-bound traffic and protecting the environment of the Georges River.
