Businessman Stephen Agius was elected mayor of Kogarah at a council meeting on Monday night.

Councillor Annie Tang of the Unity Party is deputy mayor.
Mr Agius, a Liberal Party councillor who runs a chiropractic business in Kogarah and Parramatta, was the only nomination for mayor. He is in his seventh year on Kogarah Council.
Cr Agius and Cr Tang were a mayor and deputy team in 2013.
Cr Tang continued to be a deputy in 2014 when Michael Platt from the ALP was elected mayor.
She was the only nomination for deputy.
