The series is named after Cal Ripkin, one of the country's most prominent players and who has been an owner of teams. Ripkin is a household name in the sport.
Pitcher Ethan and catcher Zac said they were excited about their first trip abroad to play against elite-level players in their age group.
Lawrence, a Giants Baseball Club youngster, said it was a great opportunity. Ethan, who plays with Illawong Marlins, said he was thrilled about being selected.
Players are selected as individuals for the Australian team after a series of exhaustive trials.
Zac and Ethan have both played for Cronulla in State Cup games. "We're good mates," Zac said.
