I have been a Sharks tragic for 15 years, a sponsor and been around during the reign of Peter Gow, Barry Peirce and now Damian Irvine.

Damian is by far the toughest and most dedicated man in the NRL I have seen.
He has attended every sharks game in the past 10 years.
He took on the job as chairman when no one wanted it.
He was voted onto the board with a huge number of member votes.
He sacrificed time in his own business and with his family to rescue the club from the brink of closure.
He worked at night on his own businesses so he could work at Sharks during the day, which came at a significant cost to him and his health.
He got the development proposal of neighbouring lands through council when no one else could resulting in a possible financial rescue for the club.
He has led the club with respect and credibility and yes he does say it like it is.
He has done all of this and refused payment as Chairman of the club because of the financial position of the club.
It sickens me to see all his critics line up to throw mud when not one of them could summon the guts to do what he has done or would do half of what he has done without being paid massive sums of money.
In light of the incompetence of the NRL, Federal Government and ASADA you would have to say that Sharks should be forgiven and we take a mature approach to our future instead of tearing a community apart and good people in it.
History honours people like Damien who make sacrifices for good causes!
